That doesn't excuse her in the book at all. ![]() I got the idea she liked Fuckroach Dave better because he was happy and confident, so much so that it made her kind of down about the real Dave. Her and Dave are in their rough patch, of course, as they always will be. In the third book she is suddenly the "moral center" or something. In the first two books, Amy was smart, charming and resourceful. One of my biggest issues with the book, was Amy. Because of the nature of the story, I feel it's far more confusing than the first two, which themselves had tons of unanswered questions, but that just goes with the Lovecraftian style, I think. It was enthralling as usual, I found the monster it incredibly devious the way it re-writes your memory around.īut there's just so much to unpack. So, I've read the first two books, and absolutely -loved- them. ![]()
